Somatic Life Coaching - My Methodology

Let's start at the very beginning: As human beings we often grow up in an environment where our basic needs are not sufficiently met. This is how conditioning happens, which we then carry throughout our lives.

 

Thanks to the work of psychologist Wilhelm Reich we know that feelings that are not expressed become fixed in the body and block our life energy. For example, the body reacts to a frightening event by contracting the diaphragm and inhibiting the flow of breath: The sympathetic nervous system is activated, which means that the body is put on alert and getting ready for "Fight or Flight" or other threatening situations. Usually the body regulates itself after some time - if it stays alert for a longer period of time, this could lead to traumatization.

 

When we become aware of the patterns that the body once learned to cope with stressful situations (maladjustment), then we gain an understanding of how we hinder ourselves in our lives. We realize how we can't feel ourselves and our feelings, how we can't keep our boundaries and can't live our full potential.

is for you to get to know

the way your nervous system works

and to reconnect with yourself.

 

For this we have different tools at our disposal: the breath, the body, constellation work, conversations and visualizations, for example. There is no classical approach in this work, each individual therapy session is individual and person-centered. The first sessions will likely be more talk-focused, so that I can get to know you and get an idea of where you are stuck. Further practice will become clear after the initial assessment.
